We are the only privately owned tree work company in the region, being certified by a JAS-ANZ accredited certification body. We currently hold certification with ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Standard, and comply with AS/NZS 4801:2001 Workplace Health and Safety and ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Systems. This means that we must operate our business in line with certain standards of high quality that are periodically audited internally and externally. BBTS commenced operations in 1999 focusing on the Byron Shire and have since expanded our business to cover the Ballina, Lismore and Tweed Heads Shires.

We are fully insured and comply at all times to legal industry standards and government legislation. We carry public liability, workers compensation, professional indemnity and vehicle and plant insurances for customer piece of mind.
BBTS is a member of Arboriculture Australia (AA), Queensland Arboricultural Society (QAA), International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) and the Utility Arborists Association of Australia (UAAA). Association membership provides our company with relevant industry updates to keep us at the forefront in all of our business practices.
We service both the public and private sector in all aspects of vegetation management offering consulting arborists for tree reports, qualified arborists for tree pruning, tree removals, dead wooding, canopy lifting, stump grinding, mulching, mulch sales, reports for planning approval, consultation, asset management/utilities clearing and emergency response.
Vegetation management can be a dangerous occupation and the safety of our staff and all clientele is paramount.
It is mandatory that a BBTS HIRAC (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment and Control) form be completed at each job site, before any work proceeds.

Quality Management System and OH&S/ Compliance
BBTS Quality Management system is based on the standard ISO 9001 (Quality). It is regularly reviewed and certified by the international certifying body JAS-ANZ.
BBTS has a comprehensive OH&S policy in place. This includes the availability of Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) for all specific work practices. Our staff is trained to conduct thorough Hazard reduction assessments on site.
Our OH&S system is reviewed and updated on a regular basis. We run as required staff tool box talks in relation to any new and relevant safety alerts.
It is mandatory for all staff to have a current and valid OH&S Construction card “White Card”.
BBTS carries $20 million public liability insurance.
BBTS carries $5 million professional indemnity insurance.
BBTS covers all of its staff workers compensation through iCare.
All vehicles are comprehensively insured and carry current registration and CTP insurances.
